#BNO back to back with #ShivakerSessions -- my first time!

I had the usual tweets on my timeline about the Boys' Night Out #BNO show of Sam YG, Slick Rick and DJ Tony Toni. I have always heard about it, but I would usually ignore because I was always busy (studying and building my future...yup #nerd). But tonight, I decided to give myself a break from acads and to explore this such intriguing show. I heard it started at 6PM tonight, but I started to listen at around 8, so obviously I've missed two hours or so already (but hey, I was able to catch it when he greeted the AlDub nation!).

So, as I tuned in, I cannot help but to really find the hosts pretty entertaining. I mean, they are not those with signatures laughs or so whatever, but listening to them, you'd really realize an in-depth intelligence in them, only disguised in their playful tones and jokes. It was my first time to listen to it via livestream and it was really fun. I guess I just found a new evening routine while studying! Their pinoy henyo thing is also funny. Their banats are really benta. Allow me to share a few lines, which I shared also via my twitter:

Caller: Of course, Sam. I like Sam.
Sam: Uyyy wag ganyan, vulnerable ako ngayon.

oh and another one:

*a host delivered a punch line*
Sam: pare, tigil mo na yang katol ha!

and lastly, when they were doing their pinoy henyo thing:

*a host keeps saying POT? POT? POT?*
-- and in my head, I was like, was it PAT? PAT? PAT? #chz ehem hello, #SaPat fans!!!

So, after 10PM I was about to close the livestream already, but realized that Sam YG was still on air for his #ShivakerSessions. His songs are just so entertaining, like dang. His tone is so funny. I mean I'm not sure if his accent was Indian or was it Russian. He is singing Adele's Hello as I write this entry and I swear his version is too funny I can't help, but to laugh out loud even if I'm alone... (my mom's kind of judging me right now for it...) He sings the first line "Hello, it's me" to every caller with his Indian accent. Gosh, the guy's a natural! Sam gives his usual love guru advice to callers with obviously, love problems. The one story that stayed with me tonight though is:

a guy who is in love with someone who is supposedly (or almost) together with his friend. Sam said, "Falling in love is not your fault...but who with is your decision." He also said that, "Each experience is unique to every person" (so friends, never compare!!!!!) and lastly, he said that, "Do you respect your friend?" and that's it! Game over because if your answer is yes -- then the answer for the problem is simple too: B A C K O F F.

and another advice:
"real friends will always tell you what they feel" (oh and to the caller, thank you for bringing up an issue of Sam's 'nephew' with a girl in Lasing na Baboy CHERET oooopps Sam was so defensive!)

So on point! I know it's pretty normal, but don't we realize that some advice are just really simple. However, sometimes we're too hardheaded, too stubborn to listen that we really need to be given an advice on point, like we need a big rock to be hit on our head so we'd wake up from our fantasies. Sometimes, we know right from wrong, but chose to ignore, so sessions like #ShivakerSessions really help for those pasaway ones! Shows like #BNO and #ShivakerSessions are intelligent types of shows only hidden in a comedic form. I mean if only you'd notice harder, the hosts are obviously smart, but try to show their serious sides and opinions using their punch lines. Really, I found my new evening habit.

Thank God I gave in to temptation to listening to them!

You might find it entertaining, too! Listen some time. Especially when you're stuck forever on traffic in EDSA -- find your forever with #BNO instead! They come in at 6-10PM then #ShivakerSessions afterwards. It's in 89.9 Magic FM or listen via livestream (just click the listen live tab on top).

The first time isn't so bad at all. Found a new love on radio!!!! You go #BNO. Thanks for a wonderful session to listen to!

p.s. as I end this, the #ShivakerSessions is still up on the radio and their livestream link while Sam is singing So Sick!!
"...why can't I turn off the radio..." but Sam is on the radio!!! Good monologue on that one, Sam! Indian (na RumaRussian) accent pa more!

[UPDATE]
Papi Sam himself!!!
