How do I even look at you the same again
when all I see are the scars of
what this challenge has brought you?
How do I even hug you the same again
when all I could feel are your frustrations
and fears after what happened?
How do I even smile at you the same again
when all I could notice are the little traces of
tears that marked on your cheeks?
I keep asking why,
but the answer is simple.
